Keeping busy

Wednesday, 21 April 2010

School is out for a few weeks (summer classes!) and I'm in this strange situation in which I actually need to find things that will fill my time.
So far I've:
1. Gone out for coffee with friends.
2. Started knitting a blanket
3. Visited the AGO.
4. Done yoga every morning. This video, though terribly cheesy sounding, is great!
5. Made dinner for a friend. This spaghetti sauce with a very famous lemon yogurt cake for dessert.
6. Read Paul Arden's "It's Not How Good You Are, It's How Good You Want to Be" as well as his other books.
7. Listened to a poetry reading.
8. Danced around my apartment to a great song recommended by a friend:

Another one for good measure:

Now I'm heading to the prairies to visit family and friends!

your list sounds so lovely and relaxing! I've got 2 more days and I am seriously so excited to do things that I normally love doing but lately have been feeling guilty about because I should be working on school work (like baking! I got the Babycakes book from the library and I am itching to make some stuff).
Enjoy your time back home!
p.s. which coffee shop is that? I

haha, I was totally going to post the Pony Pony Run Run videos!! You video scooper!! :P I jest, I've got plenty of videos up my sleeve.... The National dropped a new album, and so did XX.

You always have such fantastic photos!! And I'm glad to have been a part of so many of the fun things in your list. :)

Wow! Your list includes all the things I dream of doing but never seem to have time. You make me want to sign up for yoga and find a knitting class...

Michelle, I hope you're busy having fun now that you're all done! I have Babycakes but I haven't made anything from it yet, let me know how it turns out. The cafe was Quaff Cafe on Queen West:http://www.blogto.com/cafes/quaff

Julie, oops! I'm totally a video scooper! So glad you were with me for so many of the items on the list!

Mia C., Oh I hope you find someone to teach you how to knit! I don't even go to a yoga class, I just downloaded videos on iTunes so I can do it on my own schedule. I'm more committed that way. Good luck!

Yoel, it was so much fun to spend time with you in Toronto!

hibou, I understand! I did spend a few days wondering what to do with all my time.

sinnlighet, thank you! I'm so glad I've found you, too!

hearblack, I did take that photo, thanks! The match was a happy accident, it was my pal Julie's latte and the paper was sitting on the table we chose. :)

Thank you! I just made the Raspberry Scones and they were delicious! I want to make the pumpkin-spice muffins when I get back in town. You should give it a try if you get the chance, so good! And yes, I am having a wonderful time now that I am done. Though it does feel odd knowing that come September I won't be going back for more ;)
