cute!
ReplyDeleteI am currently growing out my hair in hopes of being able to style it differently. (I am in a hair rut)
So cute! You're so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love your braids! I love braiding my friends' hair like this because my hair is too short!
ReplyDeleteAahhh! So glad you posted this! Makes me want to stick to my resolve to keep my hair long long long.
ReplyDeleteAhh! I love doing that! I learned how to braid my hair like that recently, when I saw this : http://wikstenmade.blogspot.com/2009/09/i-love-paris-in-fall.html posted on Wiksten-made. (Look at the photo in the second batch, with the fishtail braid across her forehead. Sooo pretty!)
ReplyDeleteoh how COOL! i'm going to try that tomorrow.
ReplyDeletelove the fish tail braids on you!!! (p.s. your Rav feed works!!)
ReplyDeleteLove the braids!

hooray for fishtales! reminds me of junior high. we used to sit for hours playing with each others hair to get these "right". so awesome!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your lovely comments!
ReplyDeleteMichelle, good luck growing out your locks. Loepsie has some great tips!
Jane, Thank you! *blush*
Alaina, I love braiding friends' hair, too. It's good practice!
Anabela, yay! I love your long locks!
Melinda, Oh, I knew the exact photo you were referring to. That braid is perfection!
Laura, I hope you did!
Julie, thanks! I'm so glad my Rav fee works now! Good thing you're keeping me in line. ;)
Stacey, thank you!
Lyn, that's awesome! You and your friends were really talented junior high students!
ah, so cute! Cute photo and I personally love big fat braids like this. I was growing mine for a donation for three years and just had it bobbed after Christmas. I've been a short hair gal for a long time, but I actually enjoyed my long hair this last time around and I think I will have to grow it out again. In the meantime, I have to amuse myself by doing things like dyeing it bright red ;)

Thanks for posting this Erica! I watched the tutorial at work the other day and tried it. Now I think I'm hooked. What a beautiful technique. I had to post about it too.
ReplyDeleteI don't style my hair with heat, either, so I'm glad I have naturally wavy hair. I do wish I had the talent or the patience to do braiding, as I absolutely think it can be such an elegant look to wear. A braid in the back, or wrapped around the side of my head is what I crave, but my arms get tired and the braid turns out fuzzy and messy.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, I echo Jane's statement - you are beautiful! I would kill for that gorgeous hair too! I love fishtails, they remind me of being a kid when I was rocking the Laura Ingles Wilder (as played by Melissa Gilbert) hair and my aunties would fishtail braid it. Now I get to do the same for my niece as an auntie and I love it. I can french braid my own hair, but fishtailing it may be beyond my skill level!
ReplyDeleteTHAT BRAID!!! i am dying! absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeletefishtails are so pretty ...you can do it, they're easy!
