Foxes

Monday, 7 December 2009

As predicted, I came home from the Robber shopping event, not with Christmas gifts, but presents for myself! One of which was this lovely ring by Species by the Thousands. I went in thinking I would buy the wolf ring, but this little guy stole my heart. The finish on this ring is amazing. I've admired Species by the Thousands jewelery at Robber for quite awhile and it was time to make the leap. In fact, Robber is one of only two stores in Canada carrying this amazing jewelery line.

Foxes are magnificent animals. I've been lucky enough to see two of them in my lifetime. It's hard to pick a favorite species of fox (why would you, really?) but, the lovely Planet Earth series introduced me to the Tibetian Fox, which I'm positive is the coolest fox in existence.

The orange fox print in the background is by a local Toronto artist, Katie Muth, who I had the pleasure of meeting at her table at Winter Fling...A Craft Thing this past Saturday. (Thanks Michelle for letting me know about the craft sale!) The print is actually a card, but I think I will just put it in a frame on my wall.

I am glad you were able to make it to the sale! I had to literally drag myself out of there because I was so close to spending money that I just don't have ;) I did end up picking up a wee bear from Stitchface (http://www.etsy.com/shop/stitchface).

There was something to love at each table! I ended up only allowing myself to buy Christmas cards, even though I wanted a lot more. (Same thing, buying with money I do not have!!). Those bears were super cute, glad to hear you took one home!

so pretty!! I knew if I went, I'd do the exact same thing, and buy for myself! You got quite the treasure, for sure.
