Fur Collars

Ever since the Balenciaga Fall/Winter 2007 I have been wanting a vintage fur collar to throw on in the winter. It doesn't help that these pretty girls are sporting them so well. Don't they look cozy! Ebay has quite a few for quite reasonable prices.

A new trend?

Blankets as poncho like accessories.

I've noticed it twice it the past month from two very trendy sources. The first being APC; they styled a plaid blanket as a shawl over one of their looks, and of course they sell the blanket as well.The second person to sport this look was Susien Chong, one half of the genius behind Lover, in the nesting article in the August 2008 issue of Nylon.Not to mention this article from the StyleFile blog on Style.com.

Peanut Butter Icing

On a trip into the city for pedicures with friends I stopped by the newly opened bakery called "The Cupcakery." The first of its kind in Manitoba it has two flavors of cupcakes; Chocolate and Vanilla, and a variety of icing flavors to mix it up. Seeing as it is my eventual dream to open a cupcake bakery of my own, I call buying a dozen cupcakes "market research." Thus this little excursion has left me with a new discovery, "peanut butter icing." How did I live 21 years without it?
The lovely fellow at the bakery said the recipe had been in his family for 60 years, yet where had it been all my life? While it may not be the family recipe, I think I will this one at home.
I will definitely make another trip to The Cupcakery as soon as I can!

I will take one of everything.
