I've had my Portland Jumper for almost a month, but I finally I got the chance to take a photo! Or rather someone to take it for me. I love it so much and wear it every week. Thanks Jenny! Oh and the photo is blurry because I got really excited about it, and excited about being done school!

Lucky! It looks great. That colour is so nice (I am so over dark denim, personally) and the fabric drapes so well!

Also: lucky! You are done school. I've still got a 30-pager to write, but then, yay! Almost a whole month off.

Whoa whoa... I just went to your page and saw that your "industry" is museums and libraries! I'm applying to librarian and curatorial studies when I'm done my first degree! And I still have 3 exams next week so I'm not really all done, but when the papers are done it takes a big weight off. Thanks for your compliments on the dress.

love the jumper and congrats on finishing those papers!

gee, if i ever finish this damn dissertation, i would love to go back to school and get an MLS so i can work at a library and pore over lovely architecture books...

Oh Erica, a dissertation! You are a brave soul, I am avoiding those like the plague. Eventually my time will come. What is it on if you don't mind me asking?

i'm writing an architectural / urban / planning history of Chinatowns in the USA. it's more of a pain than i imagined when i signed on for it. i'm focusing on how immigration, architectural theming, and tourism have shaped the American landscape and national/cultural identities.

phew! i'd much rather knit little hats and daydream about shopping, but i thought a dissertation would occupy 7 or 8 years before i have to figure out what to do with my life.

if you ever need advice about PhD programs, give a holler and i'll see what i can do.

Wow, that does sound complicated and enough to occupy 7 to 8 years. But also really interesting. When you do finish and go through all that process of review or whatever you have to do, I would read it! I know the deciding what to do with a life is soo difficult!
