I love both the mittens and the dress! Where ever did you find the picture of the mittens you referenced for the stitch pattern?
The mittens are gorgeous! Oh I'm so jealous of your dress, I saw some other nice things on the gap website but they don't ship to where I live... grrr.
Sophia: Thank you! The picture was taken by my friend who bought the mittens in Finland. What I did was to cast on 48 stitches in the main color and p1, k1 for 12 rows. Then I added in color 2 for 2 rows alternating for 3 stripes. After the stripes were completed I p1, k1 for 5 more rounds, and then I began to follow the pattern in the picture. I hope this helps!http://bp2.blogger.com/_wdZvIYhI0ks/RyPPJVbUI7I/AAAAAAAAAJU/UoBrQAcODtM/s1600-h/alisons+mittens+005.jpghttp://bp0.blogger.com/_wdZvIYhI0ks/RyPOh1bUI5I/AAAAAAAAAJI/PCsyz19vZIY/s1600-h/alisons+mittens+006.jpgJuliet: Thanks! Oh, I just hate it when that happens. There is quite a few sites that won't ship to Canada either. boo.
Wow those links did not work... I think I need to learn some html. The pictures I used are the ones I posted on the post "Mittens, Craft Sales, and Serena Vanderwoodsen"
